This was not today. Oh well.
Good afternoon and Happy Monday! It’s Commencement Day at Boston College and it’s been raining off and on, but for 4000 + graduates and their parents, friends and extended family, it’s still a lovely day!
Sen. Bob Casey (D – PA), an advocate for children and families and one of America’s most prominent Catholic politicians, gave the 141st Commencement Address. “Your nation needs you….shape the future with vision, justice, and charity.”
More than just a pretty face (among his many good works, the establishment of a BC student scholarship), we gave this guy an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
I’m running around with Commencement-related duties so this is a (very) abbreviated post. Some of you might be thinking “Hurrah! She’s not going to drone on about nothing!” The bad news for those people is that I’ll be back at it next week. Promise.
